They don’t have schools for this,
Or how-to manuals
To kiss and be kissed,
To eat the forbidden fruit
That dangles before you,
Why did God plant such a tree
In our midst and fail to expect
us not to partake of it,
an old woman on that cruise
devouring “brothers and sisters”
teaching her how to do the same,
to avail her of that talent
God in his infinite wisdom
Provided her with,
Yet could not have anticipated
How it might get used
We are all indifferent to it
Until we need it to survive,
Or even thrive,
Making appointments
For every day of the week
As if there is not enough time
To use up what she’s neglected
Until then,
Making “them” pay for what they want
Or need, their lust paving the way
For her getting what she needs,
Only what she wants isn’t what they want,
All she does she does to survive.
