Interview May 1, 2012

He gave the job to someone else then had to take it back, after she spent an hour in his office, trying to convince him why she was the better candidate after all.

And once convinced he made her more than the original job offered.

That’s how qualified she was, and how much she had to offer and how indispensable she would become in the future.

How she always managed to convince men like him in whatever job she applied for before and later, learning the tricks of the trade from some older and wiser, or perhaps by instinct, how to sell herself during each interview, even when each time later it all fell to pieces anyway as each job always does, another employer and date on the very impressive resume that will impress some future employer during some future hour alone with her in his office.

Update 2023: As it turns out, this is not how it happened at all, in fact, she barraged him with phone calls, faxes, emails, until he came to believe if she wanted this job this bad, he ought to give her a job, and he did, and as it turned out, she turned out to be a great asset.
