A temporary gift Feb. 23, 2025

The warmth comes like a welcome glow in a season so rich with chill, the limbs of trees bearing now leaves, not even those of yellow that clung there for so long as they resisted the wind, the warmth a give in these waning days of winter when like love, we expected it not,. And like love, we accept it as a gift from God, knowing we may see warmth and love fade before the real warmth comes, this temporary arrangement, this flutter of the hear we feel and take as much as might take a deep breath, filling our lungs as full as possible in anticipation it will not last, warmth like love in this time of life always an uncertain thing, as we cling to hope for when warmth is determined to come, and, if lucky, love as well.
