Landing on all four feet April 27, 2014

 She landed on her feet,

Or more precisely

All four feet

Of the horse

She rode in on,

So elated,

She sounds giddy

A child

Whose toys

Have been returned

After having them

Snatched away,

Not for anything

Wrong she did,

Rather by life itself,

The ups and downs

Of fickle fate

She has always

Had to contend with,

Only now,

She’s on the upswing

Again,

And god knows why

HE takes away

And gives back,

Only that she needs

To give thanks

At moments like these,

Accepting those gifts

When offered,

Knowing they might

Not last,

Joy taken like a sacrament

She must indulge

Must accept.
