We always want to go there, to get as much out of the punch
bowl before it all goes dry, taking it all in while we still can feel good
about it, morality be damned, this lecherous inner being we know bushes us to
the extreme, the dark angle on our left shoulder whispering “go for it,” while
the angle of light on our right tells us, “don’t,” we all knowing we have more
in common with the dark than the light, and can’t stop from pushing ourselves
deep into it, to do what we should not do, and as often and as much as we can,
to feel how it feels to be as bad as possible before we get too far gone to feel
anything at all, wanting what society tells us we ought not want, and thus,
wanting it even more, to use and be used in any and all ways possible with and
by everyone possible, if only to later relive it, to recall how far we dared to
go, still thrilled by it.
